Email notifications from Xen
Which notifications are available?
Your Learning Portal sends email notifications to learners on your behalf, for specific events during the lifecycle of the users and courses.
All notifications are sent from our cloud infrastructure
- Welcome emails (2).
Sent upon New account activation. - Enrolment notifications (2).
Sent upon enrolling or un-enrolling a learner in a course. - Password reset (1).
When requesting a new password, learners will receive this notification to verify their email address. - Announcement & updates (1).
You can use the your Instructor panel to send emails to all users enrolled in a course.
Which address sends these notifications?
With all Starter plans, Xen sends these notifications on your behalf from our Cloud infrastructure, using a generic email address "no-reply@xen.education".
Customers on a Premium plan can set their preferred custom email address.

How do I change the notifications content & design?
You can the content and the design for each notification to apply your own brand from your tenancy configuration panel.
To access the Notifications settings:
- Select the Configuration section from the top navigation bar.
- Select the Settings option from the horizontal menu.
- Activate the Notifications tab.
You will be presented with the list of default Xen notifications, with an Edit button to allow changing the Subject and the personalising the content and design using our Advanced WYSIWYG editor.
What do the default Notifications look like?
The default notifications template has been built by the Xen team to be fully compliant with HTML email, to be responsive on mobile devices, and to support night-mode.
It will automatically reflects your primary colour and any logos you added in the Branding tab of the Xen Admin Panel.

Announcement & updates
These notifications are managed directly from your Instructor panel. These notifications can be sent to all users enrolled in a course, the staff, or yourself (for test).
We recommend sending learners no more than one email message per week.
Before you send your email, review the text carefully and send it to yourself first, so that you can preview the formatting and make sure embedded images and links work correctly.

You can type your own subject line, with a maximum of 128 characters.

You can type or insert your own content, edit the text styles, and link publicly hosted images.
