How to use Xen Stream in your courses
Xen Stream is a paid add-on that allows you to host, upload, and deliver high-quality video content within your courses.
Steps to Use the Hosted Video Component
Step 1: Insert the Component
- Navigate to the Multimedia menu and insert the Hosted Video component at the bottom of your course page.
Step 2: Access the Component
- Once inserted, you will see the component placeholder. Click Edit to start configuring the video options.

Step 3: Upload or Select a Video
- You can either upload a new video from your computer or browse and select an existing video from the Xen Stream library.

Step 4: Uploading a New Video
- To upload a new video, select the file from your computer. Once uploaded, it will appear in the component.


Step 5: Browsing Existing Videos
- If you prefer to reuse a previously uploaded video, browse the existing list of hosted videos and select the desired one.

Step 6: Editing Video Properties
- Edit the video's properties, such as the display name and optional thumbnail image. Click Save when finished.

Step 7: Deleting a Video
- If necessary, you can delete videos from your library. Be sure that the video is not in use in any courses before removal.
