Users cannot use Xen from multiple browsers at the same time

At Xen, we prioritise the integrity and security of your learners' experience.

To prevent issues such as account misuse and ensure fair participation, users can only be logged into their account from one browser or device at a time. If a user logs into Xen on a different device or browser, their previous session will be logged out, and they’ll need to re-authenticate.

This approach is designed to:

1. Ensure Fairness and Prevent Cheating

Our goal is to create a fair environment for all users. Restricting multiple logins at once helps maintain the integrity of assessments and participation by preventing anyone from trying to gain an unfair advantage by accessing the platform through multiple devices simultaneously, and giving access to a third-party.

2. Improve Security

Limiting simultaneous sessions also improves accounts' security. By restricting access to one active session, Xen minimises the risk of accounts being compromised through multiple open connections.

3. Account Control

This ensures that the users are always in control of their login sessions. If they're logged out unexpectedly, it’s likely because the account has been accessed on another device. This provides a clear indication of any unauthorised use and prompts them to secure their account if needed.

We understand that it can be inconvenient to switch between devices, but this measure is in place to uphold fairness and protect user accounts. Each time your users switch devices, they are required to log in again to ensure that their session is secure and they are the sole user of your account.
