Insert H5P interactive content and activities
H5P is an open-source interactive content creation framework based on HTML5.
It enables users to easily create and share reusable, dynamic, and interactive HTML5 content in their web browsers, without any coding knowledge, and empowering them to efficiently build rich eLearning experiences.

H5P  Content types are numerous and dynamic, including accordions, audio recorders, crosswords, fill in the blanks, image sliders, and more. All content are responsive, immersive and mobile-friendly, thus making them a perfect addition to your courses.

If you’re unsure how you can benefit from using H5P in your course, there are several H5P examples and downloads available directly from H5P.org to get started.

The Xen platform was built with native support for H5P
  • Upload and host H5P files in your courses.
  • Capture the H5P content score and integrate it with scoring and grading modules.
  • Ability to automatically mark H5P content as completed.
  • Save learner state after certain intervals.


How to insert H5P Content

  1. H5P (hosted) should be available in the Advanced component list of any course page.
  2. Insert the component in unit and click "Edit" button to upload H5P content and configure it.
  3. Upload and configure H5P content as needed.
  4. Publish Content
  5. Use "Preview" button to preview it or publish your content and use "View Live Version" button to see how it appears in the Learning Portal
  6. Preview H5P content in LMS
Note
If you do not have a H5P server with the content creation tool, and wish to create H5P content, it is recommended that you make use of a free, open source software called Lumi, available for Windows, macOS, and Linux.
